I’m reading Tammy Strobel’s You Can Buy Happiness (and It’s Cheap) and recently did one of her first activities from the book, which is to brainstorm all the ways your life could be simpler. I am pleased that I dreamed up a wide range of things and wrote them all down without self-censoring.
One of them was to work from home (which I already try to do once a week) more often in order to reduce time spent commuting. Working from home earlier this week, I took a break mid-afternoon to walk the dog before it got dark. Wandering the local fields, I stopped to admire this sunset and reflect.
I definitely need to do this more often.
